Letter to Richard II from the Warden and canons of the free chapel in Windsor castle, stating that before he died, Edward III was able to provide them with barely half of the £1000 that he promised them for their support, and that the income which they have has been so reduced through disease, law-suits and other misfortunes that it is no longer sufficient for them - as can be seen from the schedule attached to this petition - so that they have fallen into debt; and they cannot borrow any more without the King's permission.
