Description

John Clevland. Mr Stephens, Naval Officer at Deal, informs there is a large new cutter at Folkestone which will be ready for launch at the end of the week. She will be armed with 10 carriage guns, 3-pounders and 10 swivel guns and is to be manned with a Master and 23 men. He has treated with her owners for her to be employed as an armed vessel and ask for approval
