"The battery of instruments that face a bomber pilot is well shown in this picture. Note the control column in the centre which moves backwards and forwards to make the aircraft climb or dive, with the wheel to control the lateral movements with the wing ailerons. The rudder bar is just visible beneath the tie-on labels on the right of the column. The engine throttles are seen on the right."
