Description

"British Bombers."

"Third in the trio of Britain's great bombers is the Short Stirling, powered with four Bristol Hercules engines. With a range of over 2,000 miles, the Stirling has a maximum bomb load of 8 tons; span is 99 feet; speed between 250 and 300 m.p.h., and the armament consists of three turrets. A crew of seven is carried." BRO.9009.C.
