- The petitioners complain that whereas many people have granted and enfeoffed certain persons of their lands and tenements on certain conditions, some to settle their debts and others make various alms for their souls, after the performance of the conditions they further entail their aforesaid lands to certain persons who emplead them, by reason of which those enfeoffed retain the lands etc., without performing the conditions and charges against the will of their feoffors. The petitioners ask the king to grant to those so entailed, that for non-performance of the conditions they have the power to enter and perform the charges and conditions in accordance with the will of the granter.
