Description

The Attorney-General to Her most Excellent Majesty Katherine, Queen Dowager of England, &c., and Lewis Earl of Feversham, Lawrence Earl of Rochester, Sir Richd. Billings, Knt., Hen. Fredk. Thynne, Esq., and Sir James Butler, Knt., the only surviving trustees to Her said Majesty. v. William Sherrington: Scite or house of the late monastery or priory of Saint Peter's of Eye, in the county of Suffolk, commonly called or known by the name of "Eye Abbey," and the capital messuage called "The Pryors Lodgings," with the kitchen, wash-house. bakehouse, brewhouse, maulthouse, swinehouse, killhouse, mill, barns, stable, and dovehouse to said priory belonging. Touching alleged "spoils, wasts, or delapidations" committed by defendant or his assigns upon said premises, &c., &c. A rent of 20l. 2s. 9½d. payable for said priory to Her said Majesty's receiver. "and not to the King's receiver." Letters patent granted by Queen Elizabeth to Edward Honyng, &c., &c. [Andrew Foulsier, late tenant of said premises, is mentioned.]: Suffolk
