Description

Short title: Coates v Bridgman.

Plaintiff(s): James Coates, John Coates, Ralph Peacock, George Peacock, John Hutchinson, Peter Marley and his wife Ann, on behalf of themselves, and all other the customary tenants of Richmond Manor, and of lands in Arkingarthdale and New ForeSt.

Defendant(s): Sir Orlando Bridgman,knight and bart Sir Philip Warwick, Sir Chr. Turner, one of the Barons of the Court of Exchequer, William Thorneton, Edward Brewster, William Rawlins.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Richmond and lands, in Arkingarthdale and New Forest Touching the granting of leases to customary tenants by "Dr. John Bathurst, M.D. and his trustees" etc.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1673.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 January 1674 at Richmond.
