Description

Short title: Madryn v Wynn.

Plaintiff(s): Griffith Madryn, of Madryn.

Defendant(s): John Wynn, Owen ap Robert Wynn, Hugh ap Jeffrey, Lewis ap Richard, Griffith Lewis, Richard ap Morgan, Fulk Wynn, Griffith ap John Howell, William ap John Howell.

Subject of depositions: Township of Bodvean, in the comott of Dinullam, and a mill there called "Bodvean Mill" alias "Melin Bodvean" parcel of the principality of Wales. Custom of "suit and grist" to the mill. [A grant by Crown, 8 James I. of the mill to Edward Ferris and Francis Phillips, at a rent of 6s 8d and by them to Sir William Jones, of Lincoln's Inn, Lord Chief Justice of Ireland, are mentioned].

County/place: Caernarfonshire.

Date of commission: 16 June 1619.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 17 August 1619 at Nevin.
