Description

Short title: Lambe v Meryall.

Plaintiff(s): John Lambe.

Defendant(s): Dame Meryall Tresham, widow, John Andrewe, Ferdinand Bawde, Thomas Barrett, Peter Gray, Thomas Walker, Tristram Bucke, Thomas Chapman, Lybias Walker.

Subject of depositions: Bargain and sale of leases of Buckingham's Fee and Cirencester Fee, within the manor of Rothwell otherwise Rowell, and Rowell Woods therein. Also touching execution of an order of the lord treasurer that no woods of the manor of Rothwell should be felled until final determination of suit. [The names of Francis Tresham, deceased, Sir Thomas Lewes, William Tresham, and the Rt Hon Lord Sturton, are mentioned].

County/place: Northamptonshire.

Date of commission: 13 February 1609.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 23 March 1609 and 12 April 1609 at Kettering.
