Description

Short title: Lawley v Herbert.

Plaintiff(s): George Lawley.

Defendant(s): Richard Herbert, Watkin Mores ap Oliver, David ap James ap Rynald, and others.

Subject of depositions: Rectory or parsonage of Llanvayre, in Karynion (Montgomeryshire), said to have been granted by the Crown about February 7 Eliz, to Thomas Ellis and Lawrence Manley for 21 years, including all those 140 bushels of oats yearly, lately belonging to the monastery of Llanygan, the interest in the lease passing to defendants from Edward Herbert. Also a grant by Crown of such rectory, about 11 July 28 Elizabeth to Ralph Bowyer, and another by Crown to Lodowick Lloyd (serjeant-at-arms) and conveyed by him to Rees Lloyd. [The names of Jevan Matthew and the "defendants, Prince and Vernon" are mentioned].
