Description

Short title: Dilke v Jarvis.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Dilke, lord of the manor of Peatling.

Defendant(s): William Jarvis, William Hackwood.

Subject of depositions: Messuage in Earls Hulton alias Shulton, and Desford (Leicestershire), parcel of the duchy of Lancaster. Whether the premises were parcel of the manor of Great Petling, late of Shene Priory, or were granted by the late prior of Shene (Surrey), to Mr Vincent. [A suit between John Walton and Henry Churchman is mentioned].

County/place: Leicestershire; Surrey.

Date of commission: 5 February 1586.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 April 1586 at Leicester.
