Description

Short title: Lord Scrope v Nelson.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Lord Scrope, lord of the manor of Garsdale, parcel of the late monastery of St Agatha.

Defendant(s): Richard Nelson, Simon Atkinson.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to and value of a tenement in Garsdale, said by defendants to be held by tenant right, part of which is saidto have belonged to the late monastery of Coverham.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 8 February 1586.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 April 1586 at Sedbergh.
