Receipts for Balances of Wages.
- 'Vol 3. Dodo, Clyde No 2, Australian No 2, Valorous, Marley Hill, Severn No 1 and sundry others, Invalids'.
- A book of pre-printed statements of accounts and receipts for the balances of wages due to men of the Army Works Corps on the termination of their service.
- These give the man's name, his number in the pay register, the amount paid and date, the man's signature or mark, and the name of the vessel in which he returned home. The men in this volume returned on the SS 'Dodo' (4 August 1856), SS 'Clyde' (8 August 1856), SS 'Australian' (6 August 1856), SS 'Valorous' (29 July 1856), SS 'Marley Hill' (9 July 1856), SS 'Severn' (12-13 May and 7 July 1856), SS 'Melbourne' (20 June 1856), SS 'Countess Durham' (21 July 1856), SS 'Cleopatra' (10 May 1856), SS 'Tynemouth' (5 June 1856), SS 'Ottoway' (26 July 1856) and invalids (19 April 1856).
