Arrangement (Information about the filing sequence or logical order of the record)
-
Administrative records were managed on the Inquiry's Google workspace platform and arranged in thematic folders, one per meeting type.
Some of these files were created using Google Office Suite applications. Google native formats (such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides) do not exist as distinct files but are held as data to be rendered within a web browser. As such, these records could not be extracted and archived in their ‘original’ formats. Instead, they have been converted into corresponding Microsoft Office formats; their filenames include the text 'gdoc', 'gsheet', or 'gslide' to indicate that they have been exported and converted from the corresponding Google Workspace application.
Files are arranged in thematic folders, reflecting the different types and purposes of the records.
References for born-digital records are automatically generated and display a 'Z' (either at the start of the piece reference or at the end), which distinguish them from traditional references allocated to paper and digitised records.

Selection and destruction information (Information about how the record was selected for archiving)
- All administrative and corporate information that was deemed relevant to the terms of reference has been selected for permanent preservation according to the direction and wishes of the Inquiry Chair. Some records have been redacted in line with the General Restriction Order (GRO) which stated that it would remain in force for the duration of the Inquiry and at all times thereafter, unless otherwise ordered. In these instances, the Inquiry did not keep the unredacted versions. Only the redacted versions have been preserved as part of the Inquiry's permanent record.
