Captured ship: William of London (suspected of Amsterdam) (master William Woolcot of Sidbury, Devon).
History: an English merchant ship (50 tons, 8 men, 1 passenger), bound from Barbados via Falmouth and Plymouth to Amsterdam, laden with sugar and ginger; but was diverted to London on news of outbreak of war off Falmouth on 16/26 June 1672, came into Plymouth on 28 June/8 July 1672 and was there seized on 2/12 July 1672.
