Captured ship: Whale Dogger of London (master John Laveroke; prize master Peter Blomer of Flushing, otherwise Pieter Blommers, and Crijn Jacobson of Flushing, otherwise Kryn Jacopsen).
History: an English merchant ship (dogger or hooker, 40 tons, formerly a Dutch prize, taken some time since, built in the Dutch Republic), bound from the Isle of Wight to Dartmouth and Plymouth, in ballast; taken on 6/16 November 1672 off the Start by Dartmouth by the Dutch privateer Tergoose [Ter Goes] of Flushing (David van Gesdall commanding); retaken 16 hours later by HMS Antelope (Augustine Lanstein Laustein [Christian August von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Norburg (1639-1687), Prince of Holstein-Norburg, serving under the name Augustus L'Hostine, sometimes known as Gustavus L'Holstein] commanding) and brought into Plymouth on 11/21 November 1672.
