Folios 291-292: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from Lieutenant Seymors [John Seymour].
Folios 293-294: enclosure with folios 291-292. Letter dated 9 May 1798 by Seymors [John Seymour], Wells [Wells-next-the-Sea] to Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Reports that he has superceded Lieutenant Thomas Chambers and taken charge of the Gang. But he says he will still hold the Tender, now he took it for granted that he was to fill his place. Request your opinion.
