Folios 414-417: Henry Mitford, HMS Matilda, Spithead. He has carried out orders from Captain Parker of HMS Santa Margarita to escort vessels bound from the Leeward Islands up the Bristol and St George's Channel. He parted company due to the leaky state of the Matilda. He rejoined Captain Parker off Scilly, and communicated information about the French fleet and the Swedish East Indiaman, called the Maria Carolina, bound for Gottenburg, and detained by Captain Mitford.
