Description

Short title: Humfrey and Wilkinson v Piggot, Greathead, Wilkinson, and Morgan.

Plaintiff(s): Toby Humfrey, William Wilkinson 'and others'.

Defendant(s): Richard Piggott, Joshua Greathead, Henry Wilkinson, and William Morgan.

Subject of depositions: Farming and collecting of the hearth duty within the county and city of York, and town and county of Kingston-upon-Hull (farmed to plaintiff Toby and Colonel Brandling). Surveys and accounts of collectors. Particularly touching the account for Lady Day 1666, &c., &c..

County: York.

Date of commission: 18 June 1684. Interrogatories and depositions taken 2 October 1684 at Pontefract.

Deponents: Edward Holcott; Robert More (2); Thomas Midleton;Robert Bennett; Thomas Yarburgh.
