Description

Folios: 451-451v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Agreement.

First party: William, son of Hugh de Sumercot' [Somercotes].

Second party: Geva, daughter of Gunewat, his aunt.

Place or subject: William and Geva divided their whole land from every lord's fee which they hold, except for the land of Walter Blund and the land of William Beket, which will remain to Geva and her heirs without being divided. William and his heirs will have the entire toft, without it being divided, which lies between the land of Richard son of Robert and the land of the sons of Thorgot, and the moiety of Rolfes Croft towards the west, and on the south side of the croft William and his heirs will have one perch in width for his entry and exit on his side as far as the entry and exit of William and Geva. And the east side of the toft of Inguin on the east side of Rolfes Croft. And one selion lying between the land of Richard son of Robert and the land of Wigot. And one selion between the lands of Walter son of Richard from the land of Peter son of Alfsi, as far as the middle of the syke towards the south. And the whole [land] in Ecfordetoft lying between the land of Walter Blund and the land of William son of Acke. And one selion in the southeast acres between the land of Wygot and the land of Basing. And one selion in the same acres between the lands of Richard son of Robert, and half a selion in West Holm towards the east. And a moiety of their meadow and other fees which they hold. Geva and her heirs will have the whole land in Buttokes between the land of Peter de Saur and the land of the sons of Thorgot. And one selion between the lands of William son of Asger, and one selion in Grene between the land of Hugh son of Ivo and the land of Hugh son of Thorgot, and one selion between the land of Richard son of Robert and the land of Walter Blund. And a moiety of Rolfes Croft towards the east, and half a selion in West Holm on the west side, and the land lying between the land of William son of Asger and the land of William son of Acke, and one selion at Neucroft with William son of Acke. And one selion in the west acres between the land of Richard son of Robert and the land of Thorald; and one selion in the north acres between the land of Richard son of Robert and the land of Godric del Fen, and one selion in Haverdale next to the land of Basing. And 2d of rent of Hawise wife of Godric, and for those 2d and for the land in Haverdale, Geva and her heirs are to pay yearly to Richard son of Stepi and his heirs 2d and to the heirs of Junguin one halfpenny.
