Place or subject: The manor of Hembir' [Hembury] with all appurtenances in Devon, and the whole manor of Milvertun [Milverton] and Northour [Northover] with appurtenances in Somerset, according to the charter of William de Thoritun, Matthew's nephew, by which he gave all these manors to William Brewer. Paying to Matthew and his heirs yearly one pair of gilt spurs for all service and exaction. William Briwerr' quitclaimed the whole manor of Kiluntun [Killerton] with appurtenances in Devon to Matthew and his heirs, and he also quitclaimed the service of one knight's fee which Stephen de Pultimor [Poltimore] and his heirs owe from the land of Poltimore, which they hold of the honor of Kyluntun [Killerton]. Matthew de Thoriton and his heirs, by the service of Stephen and his heirs, which William Briwerr quitclaimed to Matthew, ought to acquit William and his heirs of the service of one knight's fee which William owed to William de Thoritun, his nephew, from those manors of Milvertun [Milverton], Henbir [Hembury], Northour [Northover] and Kyluntun [Killerton]. William Briwerr quitclaimed to Matthew the payment of 1,000 marks in which William de Thoriton, his nephew, was bound to the same William Briwerr.
