Second party: Simon, son of Geoffrey de Derhurste [Deerhurst], and Joan, daughter of Robert le Waleys, his wife.
Place or subject: The whole of William's manor of Eya [Rye] by Trinleyam [Tirley], with homages, villeinages, rents, escheats, reliefs, mills, woods, arable lands, meadows, pastures, fisheries and with all liberties and free customs pertaining to that manor. For his homage and service and for 110 marks of sterling which Simon and Joan gave to William in advance. To hold to Simon and Joan and their heirs or assigns of William and his heirs freely, quietly, well, entirely and by right of inheritance forever, doing to William and his heirs a fourth part of the service of one knight's fee for all services, customs, exactions, suits and secular demands.
