Description

Captured ship: S Antoine en S Johan or Anthony and John of Riga (master Antoine de Grick).

History: a Swedish merchant ship (50 lasts), bound from Danzig to La Rochelle, laden with deals, pipestaves and starch; taken on 10/20 July 1694, in the English Channel by HMS Elizabeth (Robert Wilmot commanding), and brought into the Downs.
