Captured ship: Adventure of Bideford (master Thomas Kellen of Youghal, Ireland).
History: an English ship (60 tons), bound from Port Royal, Jamaica to Bristol, laden with sugar, logwood, fustic, cotton, pimento and leaf tobacco; taken on 3/13 July 1690 about 300 leagues west of Scilly by a French privateer of St Malo, retaken on 9/19 July 1690, about 80 leagues west of Scilly by HMS Montague (Thomas Leighton commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
