Captured ship: Adventure of Le Havre (master Laurence Le Gros).
History: a French merchant ship (100 tons, men), part of a convoy of 100 merchantmen with 4 escorts, bound from La Rochelle to Dunkirk in stages, laden with salt, vinegar and campeche wood ; taken while lagging behind the convoy on 13/23 February 1697, by the privateer Prosperous (Dennis Rous commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
