Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Martinique.
Captured ship: Frau Margaretha (master Claas Peterson Mahler).
Nationality: Danish.
History: bound from Surinam to Altona, laden with coffee; taken on 18 March 1798 by the privateer Amiable Alert (Mansfield Frith commanding), and brought into Martinique.
Appellant: The master on behalf of John Smith merchant of Altona for the ship and cargo.
Respondent: The captor.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 14 June 1800 (folios 90-98).
Decision: ship and cargo to be restored.
