Description

Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Geheimerath Shackrathlow (master Bahne Wulff Bahnsen).

Nationality: Hamburg.

History: bound from Gluckstadt to Genoa, laden with wheat; taken after October 1793 by HMS Brilliant (Mark Robinson commanding), and brought into London.

Appellant: Jens Wolff merchant of London on behalf of Jacob de Chapeaurouge, merchant of Hamburg.

Respondent: The captor and HMPG.

Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 14 June 1800 (folios 87-89).

Decision: cargo to be restored; claimant to pay captor's costs of the further proof.

Folio 87: further proof on behalf of the appellant; Folios 88-89: appendix on behalf of the appellant; Folio 89: decree
