Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Barbados.
Captured ship: Resolution (master John Burlingham).
Nationality: American.
History: bound from Norfolk, Virginia to Martinique and Saint Domingue, laden with beef, flour and provisions; taken on 13 January 1794 by HMS Rattlesnake (Simon Miller commanding), and brought into Barbados.
Appellant: Samuel Bayard, the American Agent, for the ship on behalf of Barnea Davoul, Wesson Howland, Adam Allen, Beriah Howland and Daniel Mackeown of Westport, Massachusetts, and for the cargo on behalf of the master.
Respondent: The captor.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 17 May 1800 (folios 59-62).
Decision: ship and cargo to be restored.
