History: bound from several places on the coast of Guinea to Amsterdam, laden with 518 elephant's teeth (and some more for the crew), a case of sayes which could not be disposed of at Guinea, firelocks [muskets] and glass beads, also some gold, which the master took ashore at Newhaven in England; took refuge in Dover roads for fear of a French man-of-war, not knowing of the war with England, and was there seized.
