Captured ship: La Ville de Dort or De Stadt van Dorth of Doort (master Fraus Gaspard Jacobs), formerly Le Duc de Penthievre.
History: a Dutch merchant ship (125 tons, 7 men, 3 boys and a passenger), bound from Bordeaux to Dunkirk, laden with wine, brandy, butter and cork; taken on 29 May / 9 June 1747 off Durdlestone Head by the privateer Swift Sloop (William Johnson commanding), and brought into Poole.
