Captured ship: Le St Jean of Isle d'Ar [d'Arz], formerly the Elizabeth (master Bertrand Rolland).
History: a French merchant ship (35 tons, 7 guns, 5 men, 4 passengers), bound from Bayonne to Nantes, laden with 20 iron guns, 1,000 iron shot, 14 tons of bar iron 10,000 weight of rosin; taken off the Isle Dieu on 22 June/3 July 1745 by the privateer Guernsey (Elias Pitou commanding) and brought into Guernsey.
