Captured ships: St Jean Alexandre of Corseul (master Jaques Auber) and St Gildas of Arzon (master Jean Calvart).
History: the first, a French fishing boat (8 tons, 2 men), bound from Barfleur to Corseul, laden with fish; taken on 13/24 July 1747 AND the second another French fishing boat (11 tons, 8 men), bound from Les Sables d`Olonne to Morbihan, laden with salt; taken on 28 July/8 August 1747 near Le Croisic: both taken by the privateer Markin (Joseph Oliver commanding), and both brought into Guernsey.
