Folios 247-248. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to Thomas Richards, Clerk to the Guardians of the Droitwich Poor Law Union, thanking them for sending copies of correspondence with the guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union about medical relief given to Mr Pratt's wife, and asking whether either union or Mr Fletcher [Thomas Swindell Fletcher], Medical Officer, are responsible for paying Mr Horton who attended on her. The Commission believes that Horton has a legal claim against Mr Tolley of Dodderhill who asked Horton to attend. Whether Fletcher neglected Pratt's wife and thus caused Horton to be called is another question and the Commission would like to know if Droitwich intend to charge him with neglect.
