Captured ship: Leopard (master James Hunt).
History: an American merchant ship (schooner, 50 tons, 5 men), bound from James River, Virginia to Boston, Massachusetts laden with flour; taken on 14 October 1777 about 10 leagues off Martha's Vineyard by Lady Parker a tender of HMS Chatham (Toby Caulfield commanding), and brought into Rhode Island.
