Description (What the record is about)

Folios 468-469: Joshua Sydney Horton, Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reports that Neil Conly was pressed on 11 April on information that he had deserted from HMS Jalouse. This was confirmed by the man. He deserted from the vessel, in Lisbon in 1804, having been pressed only a few weeks previously. The Surgeon reports him to be unfit for service. Captain Horton suggests that he should be discharged in Liverpool, and not sent to Plymouth
