Folios 59-50: Graham Eden Hamond, HMS Victorious, Portsmouth. He asks that his ship be brought up to the standard commensurate with her class by removing the two nine pounder guns presently on the Foredeck and exchanging them for 18 pounders and that the Poop Deck be armed with six eighteen pounder corronades. In the past, he has found that a port before the main rigging on the quarter deck can be very useful and he asks leave to cut one into HMS Victorious. Furthermore, there is plenty of room in the Galley to put another gun there and so he suggests that there should be two more 18 pounders be installed on that deck.
