Description

Folios 57-58: Sir Charles Hamilton, London. He asks for the discharge of Joseph Catts, lately removed from HMS Temeraire into HMS Agincourt. He sayes Mr Catts entered the navy as a landsman in 1803 onto HMS Illustrious where he served as Sir Charles Hamilton's servant. He has served in that capacity ever since and so he hopes the Admiralty will agree to discharge him from the service on condition he repays the bounty he was given on joining.
