Letter dated 13 October 1800 by Rachel Wilson, Liverpool, saying her son Andrew had served in the 3rd Regiment of Foot, and had been wounded whilst on service in the West Indies, later admitted as a pensioner of Chelsea College, but has recently been impressed - having applied to Major General Nicholls for his discharge she was advised to apply to their Lordships. She adds that she has seven other children and is dependent on her son for assistance.

Folios 560-561: enclosure with folios 556-557. Letter dated 4 October 1800 by William Caupland, Liverpool, thanking Mr Nepean for the licence for the Royal Edward and asking for similar licences for two other ships which are to sail in company: the Lune, James Marn, Master, armed with 18 carriage guns, nine pounders, and 4 twenty-four pounders, 35 crew, bound for Barbados and Trinidad; the Alphed, Alexander Foster, Master, 16 carrige guns and nine-pounders, crew 30, bound for Martinique.
