Folios 524-525: Philip Hue, HMS Actaeon, Liverpool. Responding to Admiralty query of 9 October, says he has again examined William Prichard, alias Humphries, and remains of the opinion that he is not the person for whom the indentures were executed - by his own confession Hue says, he corresponds to what Hue put in his letter of 24 September.
Folio 526: enclosure with folios 524-525. Sworn statement from William Edwards of Beaumaris, and John Lewis of Liverpool, also James Waddington of Liverpool, Master Mariner. Edwards and Lewis give evidence they have known William Pritchard for a long time, that he worked as a labourer in Anglesey after the death of his parents, but then was bound apprentice to Waddington for 3 years, guaranteed by Edwards and Lewis.
Folios 527-528:enclosure with folios 524-525. Letter dated 2 October 1800 by R. Kirkpatrick, Liverpool, sending the depositions of William Edwards and the others, and referring to his earlier letter of 17 September, when he had sent the indentures. Asks for Pritchard's discharge.
