Folios 519-520: Philip Hue, HMS Actaeon, Liverpool. Responding to Admiralty query of 9 October, says he believes James Leather to be the apprentice for whom the indentures were executed.
Folios 521-522: enclosure with folios 519-520. Letter dated 4 October 1800 by R. Kirkpatrick, LIverpool, saying James Leather was an apprentice to Thomas Walker of Salford, reedmaker, but had deserted on/around 6 May and went to sea. On his return, about a week earlier, he was impressed and put aboard the Actaeon. He encloses the indenture [not now present] and the warrant for Leather to be apprehended. Adds that he is not yet 17.
Folio 523: enclosure with folios 521-522. Warrant to arrest James Leather, who deserted his master before his apprenticeship was expired. [Note this document is damaged, about a quarter of the page is missing.]
