Folios 67-69: Henry Richard Glynn, Regulating Captain, Poole Rendezvous. Receipt of directions to discharge Henry Rowles if he is found to be as described by Captain Lewis in the letter that was enclosed. On 18 [January 1808] he was informed that a man in town dresed as a country man was thought to have been drudging [dredging?]. He ordered Lieutenant Hiatt to bring him to the Rendezvous. When he was examined he eventually confessed that he had been at sea 4 years drudging [sic] and fishing. He has no evidence that he was drudging for more than 3 seasons. He told Captain Lewis his grounds for keeping him on 19 [January 1808].
