Folio 41-42: Benjamin Carter, Regulating Captain, Liverpool. Concerning the case of James Curtis Bryant who was impressed by Lieutenant Clarke on 14 November 1809, aged 22 years and born in Boston, produced a Protection dated 2 January 1809.
Folios 43-45: enclosure in folios 41-42. Petitions of Mary Millar of Liverpool dated 15 November 1809 for the release of James Curtis Brien on the grounds of having a wife and young family and an aged and blind father who depend on him.
