Gaoler's report: convicted before, on board the Captivity. Grounds for clemency: still on board hulks after 4 years, good conduct on board hulks, only committed crime because in bad company of two others named Clarke. Initial sentence: 7 years' transportation. Annotated: nil. NP 42
