Folio 215. Draft letter from E C [Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission] to R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, concerning the sale of parish property, belonging to St Just in Roseland. He reminds him of the necessity of forwarding the purchaser's conveyance to the Commission for registration. The draft copy sent to William Williams [Overseer of St Just in Roseland] was sent to Hodge, approved by the Commission on 4 December 1840. The proceeds of the sale cannot be used until the deed is registered. Annotated: W G L [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Commission]. Paper Number: 9502/A/1841. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall.
