Folio 19. Internal note [Poor Law Commission, writer and recipient not identified] relating to a letter of 22 November 1834, from [Robert Lampen, Vicar of Probus]. As the sum to be raised is more than one tenth of the year's rates, the consent of a majority of the rate payers and property owners is required. A written vote must be taken, as set out in the 40th section of the Act. The Commissioners must make their rules known, otherwise no one will have authority to proceed. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall.
