1 collective petition (James Davies and Richard Price) and accompanying letter on behalf of William Davies [William Davis] convicted at Shropshire Lent Assizes at Shrewsbury in [March 1827] for larceny. Grounds for clemency: only 13 when tried, petitioners testified to good character at trial, judge at trial Baron Garrow recommended if conduct good should return home within 3 to 4 years, good conduct while awaiting transportation. Initial sentence: 7 years' transportation. Gaoler's report: character good conduct on board Euryalus very good. Annotated: nil. KQ 14
