1 collective petition (21 inhabitants of Clun, Shropshire) and accompanying letter from Corder on behalf of Benjamin Hughes convicted at the adjourned Shropshire Quarter Sessions at Shrewsbury in March 1832 for stealing 3 fowls belonging to Richard Hinks. Gaoler's report: character bad, conduct on board Dromedary good. Grounds for clemency: first offence, distress of aged parents, wife and children, already been transported to Bermuda, West Indies. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Annotated: nil. AV 40
