1 individual petition including 2 testimonies (James Finney, prisoner's father) and 1 collective petition (6 tradesmen with addresses) on behalf of William Finney committed on 5 February 1835 to Middlesex House of Correction as a rogue and vagabond for the attempted robbery of bunch of keys from the shop of Ann Richardson. Grounds for clemency: young age (14), previous honest character, former employer willing to employ him again, only committed on evidence of policeman, prosecutrix denied being robbed of keys, fears that prisoner be corrupted by hardened criminals in House of Correction. Initial sentence: 3 months in House of Correction. Annotated: nil. AV 38
