1 individual petition (prisoner) on behalf of Joseph Crick committed on 13 January 1835 to Bury St Edmunds Gaol [Suffolk] for non-payment of £20 recognizance undertaken at the [Suffolk] Assizes held on 26 July 1832. Grounds for clemency: already spent at different times 18 months in prison for the offence which he assumed had cancelled out paying the recognizance, wife and dependents to support, no means of paying any part of £20, lived in Bury St Edmunds since discharge from prison on 28 August 1833 because he thought he had finished his sentence and had no reason to abscond. Initial sentence: committed to Bury St Edmunds gaol. Annotated: remitted and discharged, yes. AV 15
