1 collective petition (10 inhabitants of Coventry) and accompanying letter on behalf of Thomas Corser convicted at Warwick Lent Assizes on 3 April 1834 for breaking open a shop. Grounds for clemency: first offence, nothing of value stolen, convicted on slight evidence because character witnesses not present at trial. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Gaoler's report: character not known, in prison before. Annotated: nil. AT 12
